Join us as Holly presents “Bringing a galaxy far, far away to Huntsville: How marketing and PR will impact tourism for our entire region.”
Hear the behind the scenes scoop on how the Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination exhibit landed in Huntsville, as well as event planning details, coordination with local, state and regional tourism boards, sponsorships and more.
In addition, representatives from the Alabama Garrison of the 501st Legion and the Tranquility Base Rebel Legion will also make a special appearance costumed as characters from the Star Wars franchise. Be sure to bring your camera and get your picture made with Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Princess Leia and more! The 501st Legion and Rebel Legion are worldwide Star Wars costuming organizations comprised of and operated by Star Wars fans. While not sponsored by Lucasfilm Ltd., they are Lucasfilm's preferred Imperial and Good Guy costuming groups.
NOTE TO AAF-Birmingham Members: 2010/2011 AAF Birmingham Board Elections will be held at this event. Voting will take place between 11:30 and 12:00. All paying members will be eligible and are encouraged to vote. Your presence will play a vital role in our club's future success.
